SIMMS & MOWLEM'S STOCK SALE REPORT.
Our yesterday's sale was undoubtedly the largest of the season, stock of all classes being well represented, the attendance of the public large, and biddingin many instances full of spirit, which gave the sale a tone of satisfaction and life, that has not prevailed for some time past, and before the yards were cleared, nearly every line changed hands. Pigs were specially prominent-, 150 coming forward, all of which were sold at firm prices, The results were as follow :
Sheep.—Fat wethers, 7s to 7s Gd; ewes, 5s to 6s; lambs, 3s to 3s 10(1; store wethers, 6s Gd to 7s; young wethers, Gs to 6s Gd; forward empty ewes, 4s 6(1; 2-tooth owes, 4s 3d; f.f.m. ewes, 2s Gd to 4s j woolly lambs, 2s 7d to 4s Id; shorn lambs, Is 5d to Is 7s; cull ewes, 2s to 2s Id. Cattle.—Fat cows up to £5; empty cows, £2 19s to £3 2s 6d; cows in calf, £3 to £slos; 18-months to 2-year-old steers, £2 4s to £2 6s; yearlings, 275. Pigs,—Prime, 235; stores, 17s to 22s 6d; breeding sows, £3 Is; weancrs, 5s to 8s 6d, Hones.—Homes, £3 10s to £8; light harness, up to £ls. Sales continue dull,
