MR SPEAKER PEEL'S FAREWELL.

London, April 8, The Right Hon. A.W. Peel, in resigning the Speakership, made an ' eloquent speech, in which ho said he trusted tho House of Commons would, in tho conduct of its business, i continue to be a model for colonial , and foreign assemblies. The Leader of the House, Sir W. V. Harcourt, gave notice of amotion thanking Mr Peel for his eminent services to the State, and praying that tho Queen would suitably reward hiin. The motion is to be seconded by Mr Balfour, Leaderof the Opposition in the Lower Houso.
