CARTERTON NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent). Monday.
The Hon. tho Minister for Lfwds visited Carterton on Saturday, accompanied by the members for Wairantpa and Masterton, and the Mayor of Greytown. Ho inspected the site the Borough Council have applied for as a site for a Town Hall, and promisod to support the petition. He inspected the points of interest in the district and lunched with the Mayor and Council at the White Hart Hotel, A deputation of settlers urged on the Minister Carterton's claim to an endowment, which he promised to carefully consider.
