Shanghai, March 29, Russia, Ims assembled twenty-one warships in Chinese waters including licr best ironclads, and has massed thirty thousand troops in the vicinity of Vladivostok. The number of the latter is to be increased to ninety thousand.
The Japs lmye captured the islands of Yuchow and Haichow,with theloss to the enemy of three hundred. It is believed they intend to advance upon Nankin, and the capture of Haichow has been effected with a view to seize tho canal, the chief route by which Pekin receives its supplies.
