NOT A PROHIBITIONIST.

■Wellington, Saturday. The dissentient juryman in the Traynorcaso, at the last Sessions, who was said to have refused to convict because he was a prohibitionist, and the man defrauded was a publican, a matter which caused a good deal of commont at the time, has made a statutory declaration that he is not a prohibitionist nor a teetotaler, and has no objection to drinking in pubiic houses or anywhere else, that at the last licensing election he did not take the trouble to vote, and has not done so for eight years, and that his opinion on Traynor's case had nothing to do with his or any other person's views on the liquor question,
