Messrs Lowes and lorns report a good attendance at Mr Elkina' clearing sale of Ayrshire cattle, purebred pigs, etc. Bidding was fairly brisk and while prices may be considered small with those obtainable a few years ago, for pedigree stock, tho result, however, may be considered fairly satisfactory. Ayrshiro cows and hoifers springing, in milk brought£7to £l2 each; hoifers, yearlings to 18 months, £5 to £6; weaners, £3 to £4; young buljs, £4. Pigs—Berkshire pigs, boars from £3 to £slos; sows, from £4 to £7; young pigs 20s each; Yorkshire sows, from £2 to £4. A few horses sold at figures favourable to buyers. The sale concluded with sundries which brought satisfactory prices,.
