LOWES & lORNS' STOCK SALE REPORT, [Messrs Lowes & lorns omitted to furnish us with their usual market report, in time for our issue of yesterday, it therefore appears a day late,] Messrs Lowes 4 lorns, report at their fortnightly stock sale on Wednesday: The catalogue comprised 15,000 sheep, 120 head of cattle, : 120 rams, and 40 pigs. At the! commencement of the sale, sheep dragged somewhat, but improved as the sale progressed, only a few pens failing to find purchasers, all good classes selling at present sound rates under the hammer. Old used-up ewes and weak lambs are difficult to quit. Rams were in great force, only a few of the best quality of Lincolns and Romneys moving off. Cattlo were difficult to quit, tlio bulk of sales being made privately. In fat sheep wethers made 7s 6d, ewes 5s to 6s, store wethers 5s to 7s 2d, ewes 4s to 4s 9d, young ewes 4s 6s to ss, good breeding ewes 2s 6d to 4s 6d, medium 2s 6d, aged 9d to Is Id; lambs, best 3s 3d, medium 2s 6d, culls 6d to Is; rams, Lincolns 1 to H guineas; cattle, fat cows £4 to £i 10s, stores 60s, store steers 70s, young steers 47s 6d, yearling 30s, calves 20s; pigs, stores 255, Blips 14s,' weaners 55,.. ...
