The resignations of B. Gardner, F. Wise, and L. Richards, were accepted. It was decided to open the season, with a scratch match, on the lirst Thursday in April The following new members were elected Messrs J. Johnson, J. McLean, C. Morris, R. Sorenson, l<'. Worstold, T C'ashion, C. King, and F. Saxton. A cordial vote of thanks to the Chair, and to Mr Thompson for the use of the room, was carried, and the meeting adjourned.
Mr Nat Hooper, formerly of Masterton, has been elected captain of tho Draper's Football Club in Wellington. Mr Hooper is a very popular player and I hope his men will give a good account of themselves during the coming season. It is very probable that the Drapers' team will visit Mastcrton and play one of the local teams during the Easter holidays. The Allmmbra and Dunedin Clubs have this year decided to strongly support afliliatiou with the Now Zealand Union, so that it may fairly be expected that the bitterness of past seasons will be done away with and all the Unions in the Colony amalgamate. When this is accomplished and the hatchett is buried by all concerned, a truly representative team to visit England will be worth considering.
