GREYTOWN NOTES.
(From Our Own Corospondent), Wednesday. To-day the Huttand Petoneschool children arrived by the morning train and paid our town a visit. The children, teachers and friends were met at the station by the school children and teachers of our town, and were made welcome. They enjoyed themselves thoroughly, and journeyed home by the afternoon train. The fire last night should cause the Council to consider the matter of getting an immediate suppy of water in a central part of the town. the wells haye just been deepened the inflow of water was insufficient. Several townsmen had a quantity of things damaged by the fire this morning. The State school children are enjoying a holiday to-day in honor of the visit from the Petone and Hutt scholars. The traction ongines are in full working order down this way, several farmers having a largo quantity of oats and chaff cut.,, v> . I forerot to mention, in Sport's report, the name of Mr E. Harrison, who deserves the thanks of tho Urigndo for the way in which he worked during, the whole day ef the. Sports.'
