THE HON. J. G. WARD.
London, March 14 The Hon J. G. Ward has arrived in London, and interviews Lord Bipon this week. In the course of an interview he denied that his mission had any referto Merson's Co. or any connection with underwriting the loan. He does not intend that his visit shall interfere with the work of the Agent-General. Ho had no proposals to make regarding the Samoan affairs, but was accredited with full powers from his Government to negotiate with MrHuddart, with » view to have New Zealand connected with the Vancouver mail service, Mr Ward mentioned to the interviewer that he hoped during his stay in England to counteract the effect of the false statements that have been circulated broad-cast regarding the finances of the Colony, Before returning to New Zealand, Mr Ward intends to visit Paris »nd. Berlin.
