WESLEYAN CONFERENCE AT SYDNEY.

(Received March 15,12.80 a,m.) * Sydney, March 14, Tho Wesleyan Conference has aapainted the Rev. Mr Moulton Oil® man of the Tonga district. The Tongans sent a grandson of King George as a special delegate to the Conference. He made an affecting appeal to the Conference to allow Mr Moulton to return to the Island, and this placed the Conference in a dilemma, as the services of Mr Moulton, as principal of the Newington College, are necessary to carry through the scheme for affiliating the College to the University College. The authorities of the former strongly opposed his removal, but the difficulty was overcame by appointing Mr Moulton to act from Sydney, only visiting the Islands for the annual Synod, till the process of affiliation is completed.
