Peel, Speaker of the House of Commons, intends to retire at an early date, being unable any longer to bear the strain of the position. He will receive a peerage in recognition of his services. It is believed that the Government will support Mr Arnold Morley, Postmaster-General, as his successor, Lord Richard Neville, son of the Marquis of Abergaveny, met with a serious accident while hunting at Trentham Hill. His horse fell aud rolled over him, severely injuring his back. He is progressing favorably. Prktokia, March 9. A Transvaal force of burghers, 1000 strong, is encamped on the Swaziland border, and has summoned the King of the latter territory to be installed paramount chiof, or otherwise to be deposed.
