At a meoting held at Makakahi it was decided to form a River Board and Mr G. Griffiths will interview the Government on the matter. At the Rifle Club competition yesterday Mr W. McCardle, junr., won the bronze medal right out with a score of 87. G. Tayler got a leg in the class with 88. The other scores were Hyde 81, Mill 80, Avery 75 The ranges were 200,500» and 700 ! yds; 7 shots at each. Cook and Co.'a factory butter ex Tainui has realised 94s and 9Gs per cwt. 96s was the.best price obtained on the. shipment*
