TUTAEKARA-HAWERA NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Tim place is pretty busy abouOT here now. The Town Hall is fairl ™ on its way to completion and quite adds to the beauty of the little"' township. Mr Smith, the builder,' tells me he will finished in about two weeks.

Hie Hall Company and Sports Committee have combined apd are going to open it on the night of the 18th of March, by a grand concert and dance, the Eketahuna band being engaged for tho dance. Mr Nircaha, our popular Chief, is going to build a large meeting ' house on the bill, 55 by 25. The tender for building being already let. Mr Udy's sawmill is'very busy just now cutting timber mostly for the Wellington market. Mr Yule's mill has stopped for two weeks to put in a larger engine, one he has had made to order in Wellington. ThenominationsfortheTutaekaraHawera Sports are coming in freely, and should the weather prove fine no doubt visitors will see some good Jfe running, and I don't think a much W prettior sports ground any where than by coming hereon the 18th. ' Mr R, Smith held his first annual sale of pedigree stock to day the prices realized were -very low for the olass of stock.
