All races to bo run under tho New Zealand rules of racing. In case of a protest the same must bo lodged- with tho Secretary within loinins. aitcr the race has been run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if tho protest be found irivolous or vexatious. No scratching of horses allowed, unless , through the Secretary, and 30 minutes before the tirao of stalling. No entry will he received for any race unless on the conditions thatallclaims,disputes, and objections atisiug shall he decided by tho Stewards, or whom tliey may appoint, on'l their decisions upon all points shall be final. All nominations, entries and acceptances, accompanied by the necessary amount,must bo addressed to tho Secretary, Maaterton. No entry will ho received after the hour named on any pretence whatovcr. Any jockey riding, except in colors, will bo fined 2 sovs. Tho amount for second horso will be deducted from tho advertised amount of stakes.
