Mr P. H. Woodroportsns follows, of tlio sale hold hy him, under instructions from Mr P. McLaren, at i Ponatahi, yesterday : Only as far as the attendance, can ±i tlio sale bo called a success, people wising present from all parts of the Wairnrapn, Upper and Lower Ilutt, and Wellington. The sheep offered, wore of an inferior quality, and a good many would-be buyers were disappointed. Bidding was very k slack. Sales were effected at the following prices : Sheep—Merino ewes Is 3d, 4 and (j-tooth wethers 5s sd, cross-bred ewes 2s Cd to 3s, lambs Is, Cattle—lß months' old steers, -13s 6d to 465; 2-ycnr old, 57?6d; , bullocks, 70s to 85s, 3 and i years. No horses or dairy stock were offered. * A quantity of farming implements > and machinery, 2 drays, harness, &c, were disposed of at prices much in favour of buyers.
