A SINGULAR CLAIM.
(Keceived February 23,11 a.m.) Melbourne, February 23. * Mrs Kilpatrick has obtained a verdict of £OOO damages against tho liuddart, Parker Company for tho loss of herluisband,whowas drowned in the foundering of the steamer Alert, on which he was second engineer. The claim was based on tlio contention that the steamer was tinseaworthy, and thodamageswerc laid at £3OOO.
