Mr F, H, Wood reports Hint the took snlo hcltl at the Taratahi yards csterday was well attended, and a oiwiderablo quantity of stock of all lasses was yarded, Bidding, howver, was sla'ek, and very little busiicss was done under the hammer, 'his was particularly noticeablei ,'hile (he sheep were under offer, as ten after pen were passed in. 4ooth wethers (forward), were sold t7sGd; ewes, 2s (id to ss; lambs, sto 3s f)d; a number of rams were arded, but nono changed hands. Jattle sold a little more freely at lie following prices:—Calves, 10s o 28s; yearlings, to 37s (id; steers, 8 months to 2 years, 40s to 455, nd 3 year old, 00s; heifers, 50s; airy cows, 40s to 00s. The bulk f the cattle were sold privately.
