(Received Tebnuuy 14, 10 a.m.) Londox, February 18. Admiral Ting sent a flag of truce to the Japanese admiral beforo the storming of Lcukungtao offering to surrender on condition thatthe lives of tho Ohiueso and foreigners wero guaranteed.
Conflicting reports have been received as to the actual state of affairs at Weiliaiwei. The official statement published at Yokohama represents that the fort on the island of Typis has been silenced, that two ironclads and two cruisers have been sunk and thirteen torpedo boats captured or destroyed. The remaining Chinese warships and some of the forts still resist.
