Your article has borno good fruit, how- \ oyer, as I was surprised yesterday at only being charged 2ld for my bit of beef, instead of 4d—long may ■ it last, I say. What will Mr Hughes ! say when I tell him that mutton is being ticketed in Wellington shops at 2d per lb., audin Pabiatua at Hd. What a difference to the 4d amHd ■ we hayo been paying!
