MR WALTER BENTLEY.
" Our Best Friends " is the title of Mr Bontley's address to-night,and judging from the enthusiastic accounts of his lectures elsewhere, should provo a veritable treat. Mr Bontley has been said to excell both Talmage and the Rev. V Charles Clark, and to ho able to hold ' his audiences by tho force of his arguments, combined with a healthy mixture of the flowers of wit and fancy. Humour is the seasoning of life, and hearty langlitoris the most healthy exercise that humanity can indulge in, and this they will be favoured with to-night. Mr Bentley believes tlmfc the humorous and sparkling side of fife should havo more prominence than it now enjoys, and, himself an ardent student, lauds literature as humanity's best friend, liberally quoting authors - comical | and sentimental —to prove his thesis, and binding the whole together with A original and humorous anecdote. Mr V William li Bectham will take the chair at eight o'clock, when it is fully expected a full house will be present to welcome the favorite.
