A GIRL ATTEMPTS SUICIDE.

NO DESIRE TO LIVE. 7 '. About one o'clock on Sunday morning, a constable was informed thata girl named Alice Muir had I. taken poison at the Panama Hotel, s Wellington. Auckland. 1 Among her effects was found <i i letter addressed to " Mother" as follows You will miss me from . home dear mothor—miss me from s my place. lam going, My life is ; passed. On another sheet of paper the poor girl had written the same letter " To my mother." She is, at latest accounts, prononnced out of danger,—#,#, ■
