Hobikt, February S. All tho Colonies have agreed to maintain the existing rates for all classes of cables under the reduced guarantee to tho Eastern Extension Company. This, of course, is subi ject to tho Company's acceptance of Mr Ward's motion, carried at the Conference. The Conference decided to refer tho question of the compulsory use of tho universal telegraph code, to the Heads of Departments. The Conference sat till 10.30 o'clock, last night, in order to let Mr Ward away. Mr Fysh, of Tasmania, will now represent New Zealand,
