The members wero agreed upon • the pressing necessity for Fedoration, and decided that a convention, consisting of ten representatives from each Colony, directly cbAu by the electors, ought to be chWm with the duty of framing a constitu- • v tion; that such constitution be sub- A mittcd again to the electors for their final acceptance or rejection by the direct vote; that if threo or more Colonies accept it, then tho Queen bo asked to sanction the necessary legislative enactment that will be submitted to the Parliament pfeaoh. A motion was carried by the Federal Council, that it is desirable that the laws relating to companies and banking, should be made uniform throughout Australia,
