(llcceivedJiin. 31,1030 a.m.) Sydxi'y, January 31. At- a meeting of the Chamber of Commerco,satisfactionwasexpresscd at the decision of Mr Eddy to remain. Members eulogised his administration of the railways and said it would hove been a great loss to the Colony if he had left. A branch of the British Astronomical Association has been formed in Sydney. It is stated on the authority of the owner of the racehorse Paris, that the latter will shortly beshipped to England, and also that Lord William Boresford is taking a share in the Cmiltield Cup winner, and will make all arrangements for the training and running of the horse on the English turf.
