THE FERNRIDGE CREAMERY.
A meeting of the milk suppliers to tbo Fernridgo Creamery, was held last (Tuesday) night; Mr I. Sykes in the Chair, Jlr Udy, one of the Directors of the N.Z.,D.U., was present. Correspondence was read from the Secretary to the Union, with referonce to the resolutions passed at tho last meeting. Mr Udy addressed the meeting in reference to the same, stating that when the Directors said they advanced 3d per gallon on milk, they then thought they would be able to dp so; but since then, butter bad fallen to such a low price in the English market, that as Directors they could not give tho 3d advance, which was.more than the milk was worth, and if they did so, it would only mean a refund at the end of the season. At the same timo, he wished the suppliers to fully understand, that it was for their interest that the Directors were working, not their own; as they received no pay whatever, other than actual travelling oxpenscs.
