An inquest was held before Mr T. Hutchison, S.M., Coroner, and a jury, yesterday, into the cause of the fire at Belvedere, whereby a nine-roomed dwelling and contents, the property of Mr C. H. Zabell, 'were totally destroyed. The eyiI dence showed nothing but a" pure accident as the cause, and a verdict was giveu accordingly. A second enquiry, in respect to the destruction of a two-roomed cottage by fire on Sunday morning last, showed great carelessness on jtho'part'tif the inmates in leaving a canglo burning' alongside a, straw 'mattrass, and a verdict was returned to the effect thatihe firo originated through the carelessness of the inmates,'a laborer named Gabriel,
