A Mate Shoots a Drunken Seaman.
(By Telegraph —Press Association,) Tijurij, Monday. On Saturday night, Thomson, a seaman of the German barque Fraiw, from Adelaide a few dayß ago, wont on hoard drank. The master and mate woro ashore, and the second mate, a young man named Frederick Schnier, dm I was in bed, got up and toldA ■ | man to go ashore before- coming to his account. The sailor rushed at him and ho got a loaded revolver, and Thomson coming at him again, ho fired two shots, one orcr Thomson's head and the other at his body. The bullet struck Thomson in tlio ' stomach, inflicting a wound which, is expected will prove fatal. Three dootors hare tried to extract the bullet without success,
