PAHIATUA NOTES.

Pau.ia.tua, Saturday. The first eleven of the Pahiatua Cricket Club, are playing Hawera to-day for the senior cup on tho Pahiatun, Ground.
The Pahiatua Burns Club had a most successful gathering last ovening, it being the annrrersaiy of the poet's birth.
A man named Richard Flutey was drowned in the Tivaumea Biveir | yesterday. An inquest is being held [to-day. , 1 The Committee of the Pahiatuaj* Athletic Club met last evening. TheT report of the Anniversary Day Sports showed it to have been a financial success.
