RUAHINERIFLE ASSOCIATION. (By Telegraph. -Press Association). WoodviM/E, January 25. Thcßuahino Rifle Association's first meeting opened to-day on the Nelson property, Mrs W. H. Nelson firing the first shot. Tho only match yet completed is the Waipuknrau Match, ten shots at 300 yards. The following are tho prizetakers :
W. L. Willonghby, Petone R.C. 44 J. Collinge, Hastings R. ... 42 J. G. Wilson, Woodville ... 40 W. Loveday, Woodville ... 40 W. Gray, Murton 40 C.JSray.Feildiug 39 C. A. Cameron, N. Wairarapa... 39 J. C. Taylor, Pahiatua ... 39 Saturday. At the Rnahine Rifle Association meeting, the Woodvillu match of two, three, and live hundred yards, seven shots at each, IJalfinger, Petone took first prize with a score of 93; Cameron, North Wairarapa, il-'j Holland, Petone, S8; Thurston, Martou, SO. The Woodville match 500 and u'oo yards, 10 shots at each, was won by Ballinger, 63; Gullan, Waipuknrau, and lngpen, Woodville, o'l; Ui'itmniond, Dauevirke, Hyde, Pahiatua, and Scott, Fielding, CO. Major Sonunerville was reelected Patron, W. H. Nelson, vice Patron, and F. M. Williams, President. The noxt meeting will again be held here.
