AKITIO ROAD BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING.
A meeting of the above Board, was held on Thursday last. Present -Messrs Hnwlysidc (Chairman), Speedy, mid Foniiau. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
Letters were read— From the County Engineer, re specifications for culvert in Aohanga Valley road. From A. Somerville, claiming £l9 wages from No. 2 contract, Aohaiwi Valley. From County Clerk re alteration to boundaries.
From Survey Office, re Special Settlement Blocks,
Prom Commissioner of Crown Lands, re expenditure of thirds and fourths.
1 From. Mr Armstrong, applying for leave of absence, and repairs to the Akitio River road.
The report of the Clerk of Works was read and considered, Kesolved -That the plan bo returned to County Clerk, stating that tho Board declines lo agree to the proposed alterations, but would agree to certain alterations us indicated on the mnp.-That the thirds and fourths accrued, be expended on Aohanga Valley road. Mr Armstrong was granted leave of absence from this meeting, and authorized to employ men to put the road in order.
It was proposed to request Mr Herbort to complete No. 2 contract, Aohanga Valley road, at once, It was decided to erect a bridge over Annie's creek, Bushy Range. Accounts, amounting to £l2 0s 9d, were passed for payment, and the meeting adjoumod.
