WAIRARAPA RACING CLUB.

MEETING OF STEWARDS, (From Our Own Correspondent. A meeting of Stewards of the W.R.C. was held at the Empire Hotel, Featberston, on Saturday afternoon, those present being Messrs W. 11. Bidwill (Chairman), C.R.Bidwill.G. Reynolds, A. M. Wilkinson, W 0, Williams, F. Pearce, and G, T. F. Hutton, Secretary.

The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £823 6s lid and that the surplus for the January meeting was £32619s 6d.

Accounts amounting to £166 were passed for payment.

It whs resolved that all horses at present training or that have been trained on either the Maroa or Tanherenikau courses, for the season commencing September Ist, 1894, and for which permits have not been taken out, must Lave such (lone by 14th February, otherwise they will be posted without further notice, It was further resolved that the Secretary should get a board painted to be put up notifying trainers when the course is unfit for use.

The following new members were elected:—Messrs J. Viles,T. Walker, J. Maguire, and E. Harrison. It was resolved to go on with the new training track, and to call for tenders for filling up the holes over J the concrete culverts. The following programme was drawn up and approved for the Easter Meeting : I PROGRAMME. —FIRST DAY, Open Hurdles, H miles, £4O ; Trial Hack, f mile, £2O; Telegraph, 7 furlongs, £4O; Hack Race, 1} miles, £3O; Easter Handicap, H miles, £9O; Hack Final, I mile, £20"; Welter Open, 1 mile, £4O; Hunters' Flat, 1 mile, £2O; minimum lOst. SECOND DAY, Opeu Hurdles, If miies, £4O; Hack Hurdles, \\ miles, £3O; Flying, | mile, £45; Hack Handicap, f miie,£2o; Steward's Handicap, \\ miles, £75; Easter Hack Handicap, H miles, £3O; Farewell Handicap, 1 mile, £4O; Hack Final, I mile, £25. Mr F. Pesrce informed the meeting, that he would present the Club with a set of tripod harrows. The usual vote of thanks to the Chair, terminated the meeting.
