ILARMINGINRUSHOFWATER (Received Jan, 16,1 a.m.) London, January 15. Al A sudden inrush of water in Gi|p? lake colliery,in Audley,Staffordshire, entombed 250 miners. One hundred and forty of them were rescued, and of tho remaining eighty will probably be saved if they , have been able to seek refuge in tho upper reaches of tho mine. Pumping work is procooding rapidly.
