Hornblow anjft., auctioneers and produce merchants, "' report as follows for week ending Saturday, January 12th:—Business during the week has been good, and with ( one or two exceptions, last week's quotations have been maintained in produce. In dairy cows, we had a fair number of entries, but most of them were passed in on account of owners' reserves not being reached. After the sale, threo were placed privately. Poultry was in poor demand, and prices much lower in consequence. Tho two or three lines of vehicles entered during the week, were disposed of at fifed figures. Potatoes and „.' very plentiful, and although we have got a big sale, we can more 'than 3upply the demand at our quotation. Oats arc a shade cheaper and are likely to experience a furthor fall. Wheat w somewhat scarce and remains at our last quotations.
