who left in company with young Haigh ami Fred.. Amos a few months ago. Further particulars are not to hand excepting that Quitin is returning home. In connection with the sad news of Will Haigh's death, it came as a sudden blow to the parents, this being'the first death in the family. He was second son and only 23 years of age. When the news became known the whole bM seemed. to .fcol it, and muoh symp'atty is felt for the family, Will was for years his father's right hand supporter in tho butcher's shop, and when tho news that a rich gold field had broken out at Coolgardie was reported, he with two other mates, left home to try their luck. He was a promising young fellow, and he will he greatly missed. The Fire Brigado and Brass Band have lost a good member, ho having been a lieu, tenant in the former, and a prominent and earnest member of the latter. The Presbyterian Sunday School hold a picnic hero next week. It is to be hoped the weather will be favourable for tho affair.
