COMMERCIAL.
_Mr F. H. Wood reports of the Taratahi stock sale held yesterday as follows. Very few sheep (only about 1,000) were yarded, and these mostly of an inferior quality. In /uittlo the entries were confined l&efly to young stock, for which "there was fairly good competition all entries selling readily, while several pens of sheep were passed in. The following is a quotation of prices realized:— Sheep: Wethers forward 7s od, 2 tooth ewes ss. Cattm:: Calves 10s to 255; 18 mouths steers, 58s; dairy cows, 70s to 80s. Horses : several were offered but none sold. Pigs: 8 weeks old, lis and 12s.
