The salesmen recommend that shipments of ducks, fowls, goslings and turkeys, should be timed to arrive Home between the middle of March and the end of April. With this quantity awaiting realisation, them is _ not much hope of vitality in prims. There have been no recent cable quotations for colonial butter. On the 13th of December the Copenhagen Committee found it necessary to reduce the price of finest quality to 100s and"four Kronen" to Do's. Victoria is making rapid strides as a butter exporter and is at tho present moment the most formidable competitor New Zealand has to encounter. The official figures giving the exports of butter from Victoria for the months of October agL. November, show that during-Ml eight weeks 3,90'(>,73'2 lbs more we™ exported than in the corresponding period of 1893, the increase being equal to nearly 50 per cent.
