Suicide.

London, Doc. 23. %doyd Burdekin, son of Mr Sydney Burdekin (who was Mayor of Sydney in'.iß9o-l), blew his brains out at Dittli, on the Thames, opposite HMpton Court Park. ' "Imdonce adduced at the inquest revealed no cause for the deed, and the jury returned a verdict that the deceased committed suicide while in a state of temporary insanity. Mr David George, London manager of the Dank oi New South Wales, gave evidence to the effect that the deceased, who had been attending Oxford University was allowed unlimited credit, and also that he had neither spent any large amount nor leenextravagentin living. Burdekin mote to witness in which he said '! For God's sake keep the case from scandal as I have taken my lifo while perfectly sane. The Coroner also received a letter from the deceased in which he desired that for the honour of his family his suicide should be regarded as accidental.
