l/l/reclis and Loss of Life, (Received Decerabor 24,0.50 a.m.) London, December 23, Terrific gales have boen experienced along the coast of Great Britain, causing enormous damage to property and many wrecks. Tho barque Kirkmicliael, 903 tons, bound from Liverpool to Melbourne, ran on the rocks at Holyhead, Eight persons were drowned, .The hurricane has been unequalled in severity for many years, The velocity of the wind was 87 miles per hour. Numerous factories were unroofed and houses demolished. The coasts are strewn with wrecks, and it is estimated that over 100 persons have boon drowned. I
