Land and Income Tax.
(By Telegraph—Press Association) Wellington, Wednesday, In reply to applications for the assessment of values under tlie Land ami Income Assessment Act, of last session, the Commissioner of Taxes states that bv the 31st Jan. a complete copy of his valuation will bo sent to eacli taxpayer, and his or her. assessment. Under the same cover will be forwarded a form for the new return, with full instructions as to requirements under the Act; objection form and a copy of how the taxpayer is assessed at present. Objection to the assessment must be lodged by Ist March,and if necessary the Board will meet in April to consider the objections. In cases whero there is no objection, the return need riot bo lodged until Ist May.V
