At the District Court to-day Judge Kettle made Bovere strictures regarding bankrupts who had not kept books, and suspended the certificate of ono contractor for two years, In the caso of J. Benjamin Cox, now residing in Clmstchurch, the Assignee said that though the bankrupt had lately taken £59 away with him ho refused to attend the sitting unless bis expenses were paid. The Judge ordered notice to be given to tho bankrupt that unless he attended the next sitting he would bo arrested and proceeded against for contempt of Court,
