He very strongly rccommonds tho amalgamation of the leading frozen meat companies in Syduoy to erect powerful works and perform all branches of tho trade.

The Factories Bill has passed through Committee in the Legislative Council. Ad amondment was inserted requiring young people to procure it medical certificate of physical and mental fitness for work in which they wish to engage. The Government liavo notified the Legislative Assembly that they intond to introduce a loan bill of £1,140,000 for the purpose of completing the public works in hand. Jlbmourne, December 7. The Legislative Assembly has reduced the vote for the AgentGeneral's Department inLondon,and its action is likely to lead to the recall of Mr Gillies. Perth, December 7, The resignation of Mr Parker was due partly to the proposed reconstruction of the Ministry depriving | him of the Colonial Secretaryship, and partly to hie disapproval of the appointment of local delegates to the Federal Commission.
