Mr Hogg's Social. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent). PAniATiu, Thursday. The social tondcreil to slr A. W, Hogg.M.H.R., Inst night, was a large success, tho Public Hall being packed, Tho Hon. Mr Carroll was the only mombcr of the Ministry present, Sir P. A, Buckley sendinga wiro rcgrotting that ho was unable tube present through an attack of sciatica. sfr G. H. Smith (Mayor) occupied the chair, Mr Reese, on bchnlf of the Committee, presented Mr Hogg with a purse of sovereigns. Addresses wero delivered by Messrs Hogg, Carroll, Hall, and Bolton,
A concert programme was also gono through, tho affair being a groat success throughout. A lengthy sitting of the S. M, Court will take place to-day,
