A match was played at Carterton yesterday between the above teams, and after a very interesting game resulted in a victory for tho Excelsiors by four runs. Johnston 25, and Wrigley 22, batted excellently! for | the winners, and King 20, and Skelly IS, were the highest scorers for Carj tcHm Wickens was tho principal bowler for the Excelsiors, whilst Skelly and Kiddie took the honors for Carterton.
