•A coßitfisroJiDEXT writes to us,: " Is anything to be done in the erection of a Grand Stand in the Park this year?",. The Park Trustees have prepared suitable plans for a Grand Stand estimated to cost £2OO, and have, up to date, raised nearly £l5O towards the cost. They are how asking the public to subscribe the balance, and as soon as it is forthcoming tenders will bo invited. To-morrow we expect to publish a list of the amounts promised to date, and we trust the public will make an effort to promptly supply the balance required for going to work, Various suggestions have been made for. financing the cost of iho work, but the Park Trustees belicvo in getting the money before building the Stand. Their experience of borrowing in the past is not such as to encourago them again to resort to a loan. With very slight assistance from the public, the Grand Stand can bo immediately erected,
