Sho experienced tempestuous ; gales between tlie Bluff and Mart, and owing to the thick haze had to slow down for two days.. Mr J. P. Maxwell, ouo of the late Railway Commissioners in N.Z., is to be asked to act as tho President of the Hoard of Enquiry into tho working of tho Victorian Railways. Tho Premier has informed tho Premier of South Australia that he declines to recogniso that tho latter I Colony Ims any legal or moral claim to the disputed territory, and if tho South Australian Government, are still determined to test tho question, be must allow thorn to proceed with thoir legal action./ ■•■ • Biiisbasb, November 15.
