MASTERTON HOSPITAL TRUST.

Monthly Meeting, ' The 'regular monthly meeting of the Masterton Hospital Trustees was ■ held yesterday afternoon. Present —Messrs J. C. Boddington (Chairman), Dalrymple, Keith, and Rev. Father McKenna. MINUTES. The minutes of tho last meeting were read and confirmed, treasurer's report, The Treasurer reported a total credit balanco at date of £165 12s lOd. • DIAHT. The Hospital diary was read to the meeting. . ACCOUNTS, The following accounts were passed for payment:—W.F.C.A., 15s 8d; H. Jones £1 9s 4d; J, Wickens, £118s; C. Hughes, £3 13s 4sd, G. Johnstqn £sl7s. nuroßT. Tlio report on patients showed that 7 males and 2 females were in the Hospital at tho beginning of the month; 3 males were admitted during tlio month and 7 males and 2 fonmles discharged,leaving 6 patients —5 males and one female in the institution at present, notice ok motion, Mr Dalrymple moved the motion standing in his name, that Houso nndFiimnce Committees be> appointed, and tho office of. Yisiting Trustee be. done away .with, He thought that by following the line lie suggested, there would be a general advantage all round. The responsibility would also be taken off individual members, ' The Rev, Father McKenna seconded forma, remarking that he did not, however, see any necessity to alter their present system, In the past tho Trustees had managed the finances very well, and the By-laws provided for all the emergencies 1 suggested by Mr Dalrymple. Mr Keith pointed out that should Mr Dalrymple's motion be carried the by-laws would have to be amended, with regard to the appointment of a visiting member, He thought thatthe proposed alteration was quite uncalledfoi} '
