Novel Scheme of Robbery
(Received Nov. 14,1.15 a.m). Sydney, November 14. Owen, accountant of tho Joint Stock Bank at Sunny Corner, 124 miles west of Sydney was found by tho manager in a. seemingly unconscious condition, with a number of notes scattered about tho office. Whon ho had apparently rocovered lie informed tho manager that he bad boon struck on tho head, aud the Bank robbed. Tho latter had doubts about tlio accuracy of the statement, and Owen was searched, whereupon the Bum of £62 wns found concealed in his boots. Owen then confessed, and showed the police whero tho romainder of the money missing wasplanted. A Policy of Peace (Received Not, 14,10.50 a.m.) St. Petersburg, Nov. 13. M. de Giers, Minister for Foreign Affairs, has notified the Powers that the Czar has resolved to adhere to tho pacific policy of his father, and devoto nil his strength to the internal welfare of Russia,
