Tlio Tn aumea bndgo (it Ngnturi , w as, foi nially opened yesterday [afternoon by tho Hon. tho Premier, who was accompanied by Seeldon, the Hon..Jus,. Carroll, and Messrs Hogg and Hall, M.H.R.'s. Tho party wasreceived on' the bridge by Mr Bolton, County Oliaii'man, who gave an excellent speech of welcome. Tho Premier then spoke at some length,, after which ' don perfoMcd'ihV customary ceremony of breaking a bottlo of chainpagrie'over tho pier, and declared tho bridge opened. Mr Hogg, then ' | mado a speech, after which luncheon ■ was partaken of. $ The tables were ■ # laid right along the bridge, and „ when the seats wero filled the sight was certainly n unique andiihtorcsting.one. A numher of toasts were ■ proposed, including the Queen, Par--" liament, Local Authorities.and Kindred Local Authorities, Theitel tiers, Contractors,- County EugMi', and others. Excellent speeches were made by tho Premier, Messrs Hogg, Carroll, and Hall, • After luncheon the Ministers drove up to' theMnknri ( (iorg'e,'and on returning opened a .••••>. dance atMilner's wool shed.,: About GOO peqilo were present at tho open- : irg. , The weather was. splendid and tho wholo affair passed off successfully.'
