OjiiiisTCHUßcn, Wednesday, Mr Frederick Banks,agedGOyears, of the firm of Miles and Co,, diod suddenly in his office at 10 minutes to four p.m. to-day. He had been ailing for some months, but wouldi not: leave work. Th«.immediate cause of death was failuro of the heart's action.
Mr Banks cauio hero from Melbourne in 1857. He did not tako any promiuenfpart in public affairs, but was at one time a member of tho Synod,
